Hi. This is my life. Ok.

in None

hi. postcards. ok. by Adam CohnSo. I just bought these post cards from Adam Cohn on Etsy the other day (big hugs to Nicole at Making It Lovely for the heads up). I. Am. In. Love.

You see, this perfectly describes every single day of my life at the cubicle. At least 15 times a day my phone will ring or an agent will stop by my desk AND SAY THESE EXACT WORDS?!?!?!?!?!?! I wish I were kidding. I am only allowed to say three things in response to keep me from taking my hands off the keyboard and poking their eyes out three stooges style.

Option 1: I know, it’s done, I replied. I’ve already finished & moved on you slow piece of molasses.

Option 2: I’m working on it right now. Please go away so I can finish.

Option 3: I see it. I’ll email when its done. Now go away.

I was so sad there were no posters because I REALLY need this plastered to my cubie wall. If there were wallpaper, actually that would be better. Or, the most epic win of all time would be personalized Post-its! I think I could really die happy at my cubie then. You see, my job involves an obscene amount of inane paperwork. And most people turning in this paperwork I suspect can’t read, therefore it gets turned in incorrectly, trees are unnecessarily killed and I turn back around and plop it on their desk with a note that says in a nice corporate way “I am not your filing cabinet, please return this when you have learned to read and it is filled out correctly, legibly, and completely.” If I had this as a Post-it, that bit o’ paper would automatically instruct them to please check their email for an appropriate tounge wagging instructions on how not to be such a waste of office space to properly complete the task.

So Adam, I implore you. Post-its!  Please kind sir. You can get back to me anytime with a price quote. Thanks for making my day. Bye.
