Office crimes

in Food, Work

who ate my bread?

Things that make me sad… I come into the office every morning right on time like I’m supposed to and get my email inbox in order and enjoy a cheap but filling delicous bowl of oatmeal. Recently I’ve been really into having a little toast or english muffin with PB & some delicious apple butter I treated myself to from the Queens Farm.

I buy a specific amount of food to last a specific amount of time, and if someone eats all of my whole wheat bread rounds {that are clearly labeled} out of the staff refrigerator and leaves me only one piece, that does not mean that I can go out and buy more replacement bread. It means that I do without until the next allotted food purchase.

It’s the little things that I look forward to each day. I live simply, I don’t ask for much, and I’m good at what I do. These agents waltz into the office whenever they please and I hope to high heaven that they don’t treat their homes and loved ones as disrespectfully as they treat their work space and fellow office mates.

Because I am passive aggressive I WANT to send this picture in an office wide email. Or maybe print it and tape it to the refrigerator. But because I am too nice and more passive than aggressive, I will just share it with you internet. Thanks for always being there… and never eating my bread.

P.S. Internet poll! What burns your office biscuits? Share below & we can hug it out!

When someone brings in treats, because I work in an office FULL of women and everyone is ALWAYS on a diet, people will cut off tiny pieces of a bagel/doughnut/muffin/etc. and leave the rest. Sometimes, they don’t even use a knife, so it looks like someone took a bite out and put it back. Grr. Either take the whole thing, or don’t take any. I don’t even care if you throw half of it away at your desk; at least then I don’t have to look at it and get angry. The other day there were individual bags of potato chips. Someone opened one, took probably two chips and put it back. I looked at the nutrition facts and there were 210 calories in the whole bag. I realize if your watching your calorie intake VERY closely, that can be a decent amount of extra calories (notice didn’t say a lot of extra calories) but then don’t open the bag and DEFINITELY don’t put it back after opening. End rant. Thank you for listening.

Thank you for sharing this! I laughed so hard. Then passed it around to my whole department. :)
