Stuck my neck out? I’m not too much of a risk taker nor a phone conversationalist… Cold calling to drum up work for my A/E firm employer.. big leap for me!

Mary Beth, as a person who HATES talking on the phone. That counts. Totally counts. Plus cold calling, you should win a medal. Keep leaping’ lady!

The Time I stuck my neck out: Moving to NY from Michigan when we still owned a home ( in MI) and I did not have a job. I got a job offer in PA on the road via cell phone when we were 55 mins from where we have now been living for 8 yrs :) The risk is worth it my dear, your greatest opportunity is just around the corner :)

By rhino I think you mean hippo. =) If it is in fact a hippo, I want to win it for my mommy that collects everything hippo! I’m sticking my neck out in three weeks by leaving my marketing job in OKC for love, adventure, non-profit work and urban living in D.C.!

Thanks for the water mammal update Liz. You’re so right :)

Moving and a new job? That’s two necks. Good luck!

YAY for you and kelly and toyidermy and green and giveaways! I think sticking your neck out (whether successful in the end or not) is always a great idea. trust your gut and if it sounds scary then it’s probably a good idea – that’s what tina roth eisenberg said and I think she’s right.

I haven’t stuck my neck out recently but I intend to put my ‘sell me’ pants on next week and hit up a couple stores with my stuff. wish me luck!

Lady you just went to ALT NYC. That’s as far out as necks go. Credit where credit it due!

I love Ms. Eisenberg’s quote about if it scares you then you should do it. That probably is most successful if say, you already have a job. But hey, I’ve never been afraid to cut my own path.

I stuck my neck out when when I changed my daughter’s name while I was pregnant because my father-in-law wanted her to have a different name. I have to admit, I was happier with the name change (and he has since passed and the name is a reminder of him)
I love this toyidermy. Thanks for the awesome giveaway :)

I’m in the process of sticking my neck out: Starting up 2 new businesses at the same time! A new health and wellness biz plus my jewelry etsy store biz! 2 might be too much, but i might as well jump in head first!! :-)

Head first is the only way I know how. Bruises heal.
